For decades, Western historians and scientists often questioned the depth and originality of India’s ancient civilization. But truth has its own way of surfacing.
This research by Harvard geneticist David Reich and team, published in collaboration with Indian archaeologists, clearly establishes that the Indus Valley Civilization (IVC) is the largest genetic and cultural source of ancestry for modern South Asians, not the result of any so-called “Aryan invasion.”
This reinforces what our ancient Indian texts and traditions have always indicated, a continuous, indigenous civilizational evolution, deeply rooted in our own soil, knowledge systems, and cultural ethos.
Unfortunately, much of our own historical narrative was diluted under decades of ideological bias and left-leaning interpretations, leading the world to misunderstand our true civilizational continuity.
As global genetic and archaeological research aligns more closely with Vedic insights, it’s time we reclaim and celebrate India’s authentic history, one of knowledge, agriculture, science, and spirituality that has inspired humanity for millennia.
* The Indus Valley people were the earliest known agriculturists.
* Farming, culture, and knowledge evolved indigenously — not imported.
* The “Aryan invasion” is now being replaced by the “Indigenous continuity” model.
It’s time our educational institutions and historians reframe the narrative — from colonially inherited distortions to truth rooted in evidence and pride.
